Visual Focus worked with the Downlands College technical team to realise projection mapping for their annual school musical. Two Epson L1505 large venue projectors added to the front-of-house lighting rig with focus on the proscenium arch.

The content created brought various scenes in New York to life through projection mapped images. Each projector held half the image with an edge blend at centre stage to make for perfect imagery.

“Crazy For You” weaves its story around Bobby Child. His character is a well-to-do 1930’s playboy whose dream in life is to dance.

The 70 strong cast of talented students presented a high energy comedy with plot twists, mistaken identity moments, dynamic dance numbers and popular Gershwin music.

Toe tapping numbers include I Got Rhythm, Shall We Dance, Nice Work If You Can Get It, They Can’t Take That Away From Me and Someone To Watch Over Me. The Gershwin musical live on stage was a premiere presentation for Toowoomba.
