Allen & Heath DT168 – Dante I/O Expander (16 Mic/Line In, 8 XLR Outs)
The Allen & Heath DT168 is a rugged, fanless Dante/AES67 audio I/O expander built for demanding live sound environments. It features 16 remote-controlled mic/line XLR inputs with phantom power and 8 balanced XLR line outputs, all housed in a compact, stage-friendly stage box with rubber bumpers and a convenient carry handle—ideal for touring or installation use.
Allen & Heath DT168 Key Features
High-resolution audio: 24-bit conversion at 48 kHz or 96 kHz ensures pristine sound quality.
Flexible connectivity: Dual locking EtherCon ports support both redundant and switched (daisy-chain) operation modes.
Remote preamp control: Gain, pad, and phantom power settings are fully recallable and controllable from SQ, Avantis, dLive, or AHM-64 systems—or even via DT Preamp Control software when using third-party Dante-enabled mixers.
Designed for portability: Built within a steel chassis with rubber bumpers, carry handle, and optional rack-mount kit, it can be used upright, sideways, horizontally, or rack-mounted.
Robust build & operation: Fanless design, a reliable internal PSU (100–240 V AC, 40 W max), operating temperature range of 0-40 °C, and dimensions around 410 × 190 × 185 mm (4.6 kg) make it stage-ready.
Ideal For
Expanding input/output capacity in live sound rigs with minimal footprint and maximum flexibility.
Use in concerts, theatres, houses of worship, rental, and mobile setups.
On large systems, up to 16 Allen & Heath DT168 units can be integrated as part of an SQ, Avantis, or dLive Dante network.
